Typical Coverage Rates

Clear Coat & Matte Finish:
Acid-stained or properly prepared concrete: 400–500 sq ft per gallon
Existing coated surfaces: 600–700 sq ft per gallon

Color Coat:
Coated surfaces and prepared concrete: 400–500 sq ft per gallon

Do not apply below 400 sq ft per gallon. Excessive film thickness may cause bubbling or foaming during cure.

Proper surface preparation is essential for long-term performance. Existing coatings should be sanded with 120–320 grit abrasives and thoroughly cleaned by vacuum. Do not use water prior to application. Acid-stained concrete must be cleaned and neutralized per the stain manufacturer’s recommendations. Bare concrete should be mechanically prepared to ICRI CSP 2–3, fully cured (minimum 28 days), and clean and dry. For higher film builds or demanding environments, the use of a 100% solids epoxy primer is recommended. StealthCoat MC is moisture-cured and reacts with ambient humidity; surfaces must be clean and completely dry prior to application. Apply at 3–4 mils using a 3/16”–1/4” non-shedding nap roller. When using a squeegee, pull the material to a thin, even film and back-roll. Avoid puddling or over-application. Recoat within 10–30 hours. Clean tools and rollers with acetone or MEK. StealthCoat MC is typically installed as a high-performance topcoat over epoxy primers. When concrete is properly sealed and moisture conditions are controlled, it may also be applied direct-to-concrete as a primer. Compatible Stealth Guard penetrating sealers or densifiers may be used beforehand to reduce porosity and improve substrate integrity prior to coating.
